Physical Activity is any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure. It includes activities done while working, playing, doing some chores, and/or engaging in recreation. Exercise is a subcategory of physical activity. For this course you will log your physical activity which may be planned exercises, a sport, a recreational activity, working that expends energy or other activities that can be defined as physical activity.
You get to choose how you will be physically active each day. Your goal is to get at least 225 minutes of good physical activity each week. Students and families will be making their own decisions on how they will be active. Each course has access to some videos. These are a choice. I want you to do the research to find what meets your family values and your interests. Below are some keyword suggestions to help you find what you need.
